Sarah Amaro is a Dominican illustrator and writer, born on April 13, 2002.
Graduated from the Visual Communication career with a mention in
Illustration at Chavón School of Design, she developed a great passion for
creating books. She is currently pursuing an Illustration bachelor degree
at Parsons School of Design. It should be noted that since she was a child
she had won first places in literary contests and by the age of seventeen she
won a first honorable mention in the Camino Real National Short Story
Contest with her story entitled: “The lizard that forgot the sea”.
The Lizard, being her first published collection of poems, expresses
her experiences from the depths of her thoughts, reaching her skin: the
container of her soul, to explain how she percieves the world that rises
above the stars. From the inside out, Sarah narrates her own experiences.
